Pension Benefit Information, LLC Data Security Incident Impacting TIAA Customers
The University of Õ¬Äи£Àû System created this website to provide general information pertaining to a recent data security incident that occurred at Pension Benefit Information, LLC (PBI), a third-party service provider utilized by TIAA, the current recordkeeper for UA System Retirement and Deferred Compensation plans.
Some current and former employees and retirees of UA, UAB, UAB Hospital Management, LLC, UAH, Callahan Eye, and Cooper Green Mercy Health Services who participate in one or more of these plans (approximately 7,000 individuals) had personal information involved in this incident. These plan participants should expect to receive official notice of this incident by mail from the responsible party, PBI. This notice will contain important information regarding free credit monitoring and steps for registering for this service.
